What is Hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis, which is an excessive amount of sweating, can be embarrassing and uncomfortable. Excessive sweating can occur on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, underarms and on the face.
Hyperhidrosis is triggered by an over-activation of the sweat glands. This is usually caused by too many nerve impulses to the glands, that are stimulated from either emotions, stress, or exercise. Sweating is a natural process that allows our body to regulate its internal temperature, however when it gets to a point that is bothersome to your daily activities, it may be time to seek help
Clinic 360 offers BOTOX® focal injections, which are a reliable, safe & effective treatment method to significantly reduce the amount of sweating in localized areas. BOTOX® will paralyze the muscles that control nerve impulses to the sweat glands, to therefore stop the production of sweat. In one study of excessive underarm sweating, 95% of patients experienced an average reduction in sweating of 83% in just one week!
BOTOX® (onbotulinumtoxinA) has been used for years to treat other medical conditions, and more famously to smooth out lines around the eyes and on the forehead. Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition that is highly treatable. Many private health care insurances actually cover and/or extend health benefits through their insurance plans.
When administered by a skilled injectionist, such as those found at Clinic 360, in a few weeks you will feel noticeably and comfortably more dry!
